YMCA - Gardner Summer Learning Academy

The Summer Learning Academy at the Gardner Pilot Academy is a 5-week summer program that blends high-quality morning academics in ELA and Math with afternoon enrichment activities. Certified MA educators and paraprofessionals lead morning academics. Afternoons, led by paraprofessionals and certified YMCA leaders, include hands-on learning experiences in social studies, the arts, STEM, community engagement, service learning and physical activity. Breakfast, lunch and snack are offered daily. Student learning goal: As we are deepening relationships with their students and families, our focus is to deliver instruction across every classroom for every student that is cognitively demanding, rigorous, relevant and engaging for all students in an onsite, hybrid, or fully remote context. Our anti-racist school emphasizes the humanity of all and fosters students to grow into confident, civically engaged and academically strong people.
