YMCA - Achievers Summer Learning Academy

The YMCA Achievers Summer Learning Academy is an extension of the Y’s successful school year Achievers program. Y Achievers is a college and career readiness program that supports first generation college-bound and low-income youth establish and pursue post-secondary education and career goals. Through academic enrichment, career exploration and mentoring, youth raise their academic standards, explore diverse college and career options, and learn from adult role models. For our Summer Learning Academy, youth will meet every day from 9 AM to 4PM for 5 weeks. Instead of meeting at Northeastern, they will meet at the Egleston YMCA, where they will have access to several program spaces. In the mornings, they will take part in academic programming provided by certified MA teachers. In the afternoons, they will take part in college and career path programming, with the same content and leaders that lead the program during the school year.
