Sociedad Latina - STEAM Team, Dearborn (Grades 5-7)

Sociedad Latina’s summer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) program offers STEAM enrichment and academic support for middle school English Learners in Boston Public Schools. Youth from the Timilty Middle School and Tobin K-8 Schools in Roxbury join our program at Simmons University to increase social emotional skills such as communication, problem solving, collaboration, and critical thinking; spark engagement in STEAM learning; increase school engagement; and participate in ELA support for English Learners.

This program is part of a Summer 2022 Vision Site. It will offer:
1. Meals prepared onsite
2. Transportation will be offered to transportation-eligible students from a limited number of designated neighborhood "hub" stops. Some travel may be required. Buses will leave and return to "hub" stops only at their assigned times. Students who RSVP by the deadline will receive "hub" stop assignments by the end of June.
3. Extended Day: Transportation will not be offered for students who enroll in extended day programming. Parents/Guardians/Daycare providers are responsible for student pick up at the end of the extended day.

Bus 2 - Forest Hills Station, Jackson Sq Station
Bus 3 - Mattapan Station, Ashmont Station, Fields Corner Station
