The Murphy SMILE Program is focused on supporting students who are not served by existing programming available at the Murphy School. The program will support students entering Grades 3-8 who are ELD level 4 and 5 and students with IEP's with Resource Support needs. This program fills a gap in programming at the Murphy School for students who are not served by the ESY or ELL programming and need more support and continued instruction that can be provided by a community based summer camp program. The intent is to provide in person learning for students who struggle the most and to both provide remediation and acceleration of learning to standards. Students will attend 5 days per week and receive direct instruction in Mathematics, English Language Arts and STEM Monday through Thursday. Fridays will be for field trips or activities on site.
