Hale Reservation - Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures

HOLA is a 5-week long innovative day camp experience. Students from our partner schools are transported from Boston to the woodlands of Hale in Westwood, MA. Students participate in a traditional day camp with a rigorous outdoor education component. Using the skills of licensed BPS teachers and outdoor experience of Hale staff, students are able to experience learning outside the classroom. The natural landscape of Hale becomes the backdrop to reimagine learning. Not only do students partake in academics such as Math and ELA, they also attend programs such as Nature, Archery, Swimming, Team Building, Sports, Arts, and more. Students will learn ways to not only connect to their natural environment, but learn to connect with peers and adults through positive relationships. Events are hosted weekly to encourage inclusivity, community, and a sense of belonging for all program participants.
